With the changing of time, people are more healthy conscious than ever. Obesity seems to be the major concern as many over-weight related diseases are on the rise. Millions of people are now forced to practise various weight-management methods.

Out of a mixed bag, some of the rising over-weight related diseases include heart attacks, high blood pressure, diabetes, bone and joint problems, and even some form of cancer, hence diet pills are being considered an easy way out by many.

The commonly used prescribed diet pills are Phentermine, Acomplia, Alli Diet Pill, Didrex and Phendimetrazine. All these diet pills work as appetite suppressants and are instrumental in controlling the intake of calories. However, Phentermine seems to be the most popular diet pill at the moment.

Acomplia is an anti-obesity diet pill, as its main component is Rimonabant. Acomplia works on the principle of targeting the CB-1 receptors, found in the Endo-cannabinoid system. These receptors control food and tobacco intake in the body resulting in less eating than in any normal appetite situation and weight is lost easily.

Alli diet pill is also a new drug on the rise launched by Glaxo. Alli diet pill is basically the brand name given to a low-dose Xenical that works accordingly. However, some doctors encourage that it should be avoided by those taking any type of diabetic related medication.

In conclusion, before getting on any diet pill course, it is highly advisable that one must consult a doctor. So taking the first step towards the dream to become slim using diet pills is not a bad idea after all. This means you will not only lose the weight but also develop some good eating habits.
